Due to the overwhelming demand and our desire to provide the "BEST" theater experience possible, Acting-A-Part® is proud to Present.......

All classes (unless noted) are 12 weeks!

You Oughta Be In Pictures!
18 Week Course
Ages 10 - 17
Sparta: Wednesdays 6:15 - 8:15 pm
Ridgewood: Wednesdays 4:00 - 6:00 pm
Be part of a real movie Production and the new AAP film production company.  Students will be involved starting with choosing the script to learning how to be in a film and then performing in it!  At the end of the season the movie will be screened at a real movie theater!

Runway Fashion Design

15 Week Course
Ages 8 - 18
Ridgewood: Mondays 4:30 - 6:30pm
Sparta: Saturdays 11:00 - 1:00pm
You have watched Project Runway, now it's your chance to be a top designer!  Students will learn how to create fashions and costumes!  Students will work with professional designers and their projects will be worn by the Acting-A-Part® actors in their musical productions.  Students will also be part of a fabulous Runway Fashion Show at the end of the season.  All supplies are included.

Commercial and Film Acting
10 Week Course
 Sundays in Sparta
         This class will help actors learn the skills needed to work in film and television (including commercials).  We will also teach the skills of auditioning.  You will work on scenes with partners as well as commercials, both alone and with a partner and we help you select and develop suitable monologues for presentation to agents and theatrical auditions.  Included in the many things taught in this class are,  script/scene analyses, arcs/beats, internalization, characterization, believability, blocking and understanding your environment.  Actors will also learn the major differences between stage and film work, and the art of acting and the audition process.  The many things studied in this class include cold readings, commercial work, improvisation, auditioning techniques, script analyses and slating. We also teach the complete business application including headshots, resumes, agents, casting directors, self-promotion, unions, the audition process, principles, featured extras, and extras and more!

Private Piano & Vocal Lessons

Monday thru Saturday
Ages 5 & up
Lessons will be taught by a trained professional.  Students may have the opportunity to perform at several popular restaurants in the Sussex County area.

Adult Acting
Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:00 pm
          This course is taught by Emmy Award winning film producer, Otto Salamon.  Students will learn the basics of acting and improvisation.  They will perform in front of a live audience at the end of the session.
