Ages 13 and up (10 Weeks)

Advanced movie class. Work with professional Actor/Writer/Director Joshua Nelson on an original screenplay created for the class. Joshua has over 20 years in show business. Mr. Nelson is a working SAG actor, Director and Writer who has worked with several Top Academy Award winning actors! The course will cover rehearsals, script, shooting on location with a professional movie crew, and a Hollywood style premier at a local movie theater. Work on a professional movie written for the class. Movies will be submitted to film festivals

Ages: 12 through adult (10 Weeks)

So you want to be make movies! This class will teach you everything about making movies. From Budget, Screenwriting, Directing, producing and shooting and editing your actual movie. You will make a class movie and premier it at a local theater.

Sparta Mondays: 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Saturdays Starting September 18th 2010 Ridgewood and Sparta (10:00 am - 11:00 am)

Ages: 11-up

Hands on movie training! Students will work on an actual movie. They will learn a script, how to be a film actor and film it on location. At the end of the workshop, students will see their finished movie at a Hollywood style movie premier at local movie theater!

Sparta: Thursdays: 6:30 pm-8:30pm, beginning September 16, 2010
Ridgewood: Thursdays: 5:00pm -7:00pm beginning September 16th, 2010

Tuition: $100 deposit (includes all materials) and 4 payments of $125.

*Included in fee are 4 tickets to the final movie presentation at the Sparta movie theater!

Ages 12 - Adult 8 Weeks

An eight-week intensive workshop that will prepare actors the tools needed to succeed in the theater or film industry. At the end of the workshop You will have 2 strong monologues and 2 commercials and the interview skills you need when meeting industry professionals. For the final class, A Casting Agent from New York will meet with the students and the students will have the opportunity to audition for them.

Do you enjoy writing? Have you ever watched a movie or play and thought you could do that? If you have ever wanted to write an actual screenplay or play this is the class for you. You will learn all the key elements to writing an actual screenplay or Play. From developing, writing and publishing a real screenplay or play to seeing it turned into a movie or stage production! You will see your work turn into a movie or stage production at the end of the season! $100 deposit and 2 payments of $100.

Acting for the camera!

This eight-week on-camera intensive is designed to enable the actor to handle commercial auditions, film and TV sides, scenes, and monologues for film. Working with the camera, actors will break down scenes to discover the humor, emotional moments, pacing, beats and more. The class will focus on strengthening performances and working with confidence in front of the camera during cold readings as well as prepared sides.

All exercises and scenes are video-taped with playback critiques an essential part of class time. All students will receive a DVD DEMO REEL of their work at the conclusion of this workshop.

Commercial and film Acting: This class will teach you all about both the acting world and the business world of commercials and film. How to break down commercial and film copy and really understand what it is they are looking for. You will leave this class with a great understanding of what commercials and film making really is. You will know what commercial and film casting directors are looking for and how to get out there and book them yourself!
